This department has grown in its capabilities and production over the years, and has now become an integral part of our production. We manufacture a variety of laminated goods, from theatre seats, to show wood arms for metal chairs. Show wood laminated facings for upholstered items, or kickboards for reclining chairs. Seats and backs for upholstery and complete laminated chairs are all part of the wide and complex product portfolio manufactured within this department. It should also be noted we are able to press in a variety of materials, plywood, veneer, decorative foiled veneers and coloured laminate.

All the jig tooling is manufactured in house using the C.N.C. machine centres, and is designed to be used in either our radio frequency or heated presses. We have a variety of press sizes which allows us to manufacture both small and large, as well as complex and simple designs. The cost of tooling is dependant on the size and complexity of the shape required, and where possible we always try and use existing company owned tools to accommodate any new designs. Once the veneered component has been pressed, it is then split into sections or cut to size and then processed through the mill. When it has been machined and sanded, the item is then polished if required.
