The veneers are selected and cut to the required dimensions, they then are batched up in preparation for passing through the glue line and before being placed in the mould for pressing to shape. The glue is cured by way of Radio Frequency or Low Voltage depending on the type of jig being used.

Once the laminated veneer has been pressed and cooled, it is then processed in to the wood mill. It is first cut to width by a special saw that is designed purely to cut laminated shapes. The component then proceeds through the mill, along side the other solid timber parts until it is a finished component.

Shells, seats and backs and similar shapes go direct to the C.N.C. machine stations for machining to the specific designs or shape required. Usually an additional jig is required to perform this work to ensure the product is held down by suction whilst the machine is operating.
